They are trialling food waste bins in my old city — ie the city picks them up and composts for you — and there is an angry contingent of people who are not happy with it because they think that they shouldn’t have to separate their own rubbish. Sometimes I think there is no pleasing everyone as citywide compost programs are basically my ideal method of composting.
